GB 1912 THE IDEAL STAMP Philatelic Souvenirs

Light blue and dark blue (small images) printed at the Jubilee international Stamp Exhibition by the Printex method. Waterlow Brothers and Layton undertook the work on a Wharfedale machine made by Elliott. The designer of the labels was T S Harrison, winner of a competition to find the 'Ideal Stamp'. However, the Post Office never adopted the design.
