New Zealand 1906 Hausburg 2d Chalon Head Reprints Blackprint on card pair of the two pence stamp, type of 1855-72, frequently mistaken as an original plate proof rather than the reprint it is. Reportedly, in April of 1906, at the request of the Royal Philatelic Society of London, a philatelist named Hausburg had these reprints made for a proposed book about the first issues of New Zealand which never materialized.
