Japan 1955-6 Art Stamps Reference Forgery SheetsTwo privately produced sheets of signed forgeries with small kanji characters known as sanko marks printed on the back of each stamp. They reproduce sheets the 1955 (Scott # 616) and 1956 (Scott # 630) Stamp Week art issues that depict respectively: 'A Girl Blowing Glass Toy' by Utamaro and Kabuki Actor Ebizo Ichikawa by Sharaku. Both sheets have simulated, i.e., printed, perforations.
